Biography

From the start of his career working at the Canadian International Paper Company plant in Gatineau, to his transformation into a passionate educator in the field of vocational training, Stéphane Lauzon has charted an impressive course. His path into politics was marked with unwavering determination, as he went from Gatineau city councillor to member of Parliament. With a deep passion and determination to make life better for the families in his community, Stéphane has established himself as an engaged Liberal candidate for Argenteuil–La Petite-Nation.

Stéphane knows what it takes to stimulate the creation of good jobs and support individuals, families and small businesses in his community while working towards a better future for all. He is committed to investing in the middle class, promoting an inclusive economy that benefits everyone, protecting the environment and continuing to move Canada forward.

Outside politics, Stéphane Lauzon finds balance from the unwavering support of his wife and family. His dedication to his community and the people he serves is also reflected in his role as vice-president of the 2014 Canadian Francophone Games and his continuous involvement with the citizens of Gatineau.

As a dedicated parliamentary secretary, he supported the ministers of Citizens' Services, Sports and Persons with Disabilities, Veterans, and Seniors, while pursuing his own academic studies in administration at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. Stéphane Lauzon’s story illustrates unwavering determination and steadfast commitment to public service and to improving the quality of life for Quebecers and Canadians.
